Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs)

Our ACPs support existing multi-disciplinary teams and enhance clinical care while providing accessible and high-quality patient care.

All our ACPs have gone through extensive training, completing an array of modules including but not limited to:​

  • Pathophysiology

  • Clinical examination

  • Project management

  • Non-medical prescribing

  • Clinical reasoning

  • Practitioner competence

PCD prides itself on developing and supporting our ACPs once they have been established into a PCN and provide ongoing management to ensure all our clients receive the most from us.

Medicines Review

Our ACPs are able to work autonomously to provide an efficient yet safe service to patients, supporting the workload of the GPs and the wider team. They are able to competently take histories, diagnose and treat/refer accordingly and in line with local and national guidance.

Our ACPs are able to see and treat a range of acute conditions in house services can also be complemented by our highly skilled & efficient remote telephone triaging, learn more about them here.
